BREEZY HILL ALPACA FARM

A one-hour guided tour of this family-run alpaca farm includes an interactive visit with the animals. But this isn’t a one-alpaca farm, so to speak. You’ll also get to meet the rest of the animals on this outlier among Howard County farms, including goats, sheep, rabbits, chicken and more.

If the animals are in a cooperative mood—and they usually are—you can expect a fun time and some great photo ops.

CIRCLE D FARM

The Circle D Farm is more than just one of the typical Howard County farms. This 150-acre property features a farm, banquet facilities, day camps, and even tennis clubs and a health and fitness club.

Since it opened 60 years ago, Circle D has been one of the Howard County farms that people go to for memorable weddings, charming summer camps or any number of events. With the county’s finest indoor tennis facility, so tennis can be enjoyed indoor or out all year long. .

LARRILAND FARM

As a pick-your-own variety of Howard County farms, Larriland epitomizes the farm to table movement. From late spring to late fall, the farm is open to the public to pick fruit, berries and veggies at their peak of ripeness. The on-site Big Red Barn also offers a fresh farm market. Fall activities include public and reserved hayrides, PYO pumpkins, and weekend fall festivities.

Sharp’s at Waterford Farm brings education to another level among Howard County farms. Featuring everything from a day in the life of a farmer to basic farm tours, nature knowledge and pilgrim history, there’s more to this farm than you might expect.
